Defenders clinch first win with massive 26 points difference
The final game for Day 3 for Game 6 between AS Police and Defenders dunked off at 5pm as both teams sought to claim a first win. starting the first quarter the team from Niger AS Police fought hard to keep close ties with the Nigerian side the defenders as one point separated both sides at the end of the first quarter in favour of the defenders. score at Q1 (12) - (13). Going into the second quarter the Nigerians came in strong against the Niger AS Police side and proved why they were selected to represent their country brushing a hard 16 points difference on Police team at the end of Q2 (20) - (36). At third quarter it was certain the defenders knew it was all or nothing and the half time talks didn't do much for the Niger side who continuously fall prey to the plays of the defenders losing once again the third quarter to them with 24 points at (32) - (56). The final quarter was the time for the Police side to make a mark but all hopes to put their eggs together fell like a pack of cards. This marks two losses in a row for the AS Police Niger side as they lost the final quarter with a huge 26 points. ending the game (44) - (70). Defenders No 9, Adottah Albert 22 points, 6 steals and 2 rebounds with efforts from his team was good enough to seal his team a well deserved win. The huge win is the first for the defenders who will be hoping to create more upsets for teams heading their direction.
