The Lagos under 18 female team redeemed themselves with an emphatic victory over Kogi on Monday at the National Under 18 and 20 Handball Championship holding at Rowe Park Sports Center, Yaba. The Lagos cadet team who lost to an academy side Mind Scope on day one of the competition, trounced Kogi 27-15 to set the pace for an exciting day. The Kogi under 18 male team, however restored the pride of their state as they defeated academy side, Future Pro 34-28 in what was a fiercely contested tie between the teams. In the under 21 male category, Kwara, after winning their first game in day one of the competition, made it two wins as they defeated FCT 32-27 while Lagos, despite winning heavily on day one of the competition, had to dig deep to defeat Bayelsa 33-27 to make it two wins in the championship. In the under 21 female category, Kwara inflicted a heavy defeat on home team, Lagos 46-35 in front of their fans to end the day. Games resumes on Tuesday from 8am for more exciting handball action.
