Lagos Teams Record Heavy Victories At National Under 18&21 Handball Championship

The Under 18 and 21 Handball Championship continued on Tuesday as teams squared up against each other at the Rowe Park Sports Center at Yaba, Lagos.

In the under 21 male category, FCT got their first win of the championship as they comfortably defeated academy side Future Pro 40-29 while Kwara experienced their first loss of the championship as they were defeated by home team Lagos 31-25 in what was a tightly contested match.

In the other under 21 male match decided in the morning before recess, Bayelsa had to dig deep before managing to get a narrow 26-24 victory over Nasarrawa. This was the oil rich state's first win of the championship.

After recess Lagos under 21 female team and under 18 male respectively their opponents a lesson or two about handball as they recorded resounding victories.

The Lagos under 18 female team inflicted a heavy 50-18 victory over Future Pro while the cadet Lagos boys team followed suit with a 55-19 victory over Mind Scope to the delight of the fans.
