The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) have fixed a date for the first phase of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League. In a correspondence sent out by the HFN secretariat to premier league teams notifying them of the new date, the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League will commence on the 7th to 18 of May 2019 at the Abuja National Stadium. The teams are expected to arrive on the 6th and depart on the 19th. Premier teams are expected to ensure that registration and transfer formalities are completed before the commencement of the first phase of the league. The first phase of the elite league in the HFN calender had suffered an earlier postponement due to preparation of the national under 18 and 21 male teams for the IHF International Challenge Trophy in Kosovo and the All Africa Games which will involve the senior male/female national handball teams representing the country in Bukina Faso from April 28-May 4, 2019.
